As one of the creative designers behind Noir, autumn and winter are my favourite seasons to design for. There’s something inherently powerful about colder weather – the layers, the textures, the quiet confidence of tailored silhouettes and elevated essentials. This AW25, we're stepping deeper into that power, bringing you pieces that speak in low tones but leave lasting impressions.
1. The Return of Structure
Minimalism isn’t going anywhere, but this season it's getting sharper. Think sculpted shoulders, elongated coats, and tailored layering. At Noir, we’re pushing a silhouette that’s clean but commanding – oversized wool coats with razor-edge lines, sharply pleated trousers, and crisp shirting in deep, neutral tones. It’s less about excess, more about presence.
2. Fabric is the Story
For AW25, texture is doing the talking. We're combining weight and tactility to create contrast within a single look. Heavy brushed wools meet fluid satin linings. Coated cottons and structured leather find balance next to soft alpaca and double-knit jersey. At Noir, we’re obsessed with that tactile interplay – because clothing should feel as good as it looks.
3. A Palette That Grounds You
We’re leaving behind artificial brightness and leaning into grounded tones: charcoal, slate, espresso brown, and deep olive. These are the colours that work in the city – sophisticated, versatile, and effortlessly modern. There’s a rawness to this palette that matches the season – real, refined, and a little bit undone.
4. Layering is a Mindset
Layering isn't just practical – it’s a styling philosophy. The AW25 collection builds on this with modular pieces that can be styled up or stripped back. Longline shirting under cropped jackets, sleeveless outerwear over boxy knits, or a single dramatic overcoat thrown over it all. It’s about building a narrative with your outfit – every layer a line in the story.
5. Statement Quietly Made
There’s a quiet rebellion running through everything we’ve created this season. Subtle detailing, off-beat cuts, asymmetry that feels deliberate but not performative. It’s luxury with an edge – pieces designed for those who don’t shout, but are always heard. That’s the Noir way.
In Closing:
AW25 is a season of clarity. At Noir, we’re stripping fashion back to its essentials – not to play it safe, but to play it smarter. This is fashion for people who know who they are and don’t need to prove it. Precision, texture, and quiet power – that’s where we’re headed.
See you out there – sharp, layered, and unapologetically understated.
